Your Friendly Lift

Friendly lifts are essential for vertical transportation and are commonly used as an integral part of the accessible route. Hence, attention is to be focused on designs that accommodate the needs of persons with different abilities.

Location of Lift

Lifts located near escalators to encourage the transportation of baby prams, strollers and wheelchairs using lifts instead of escalators.

Lift Landing Call and Lift Car Control Buttons

Braille markings placed to the left of or on the lift landing call and lift car control buttons (and not placed below the lift landing call and lift car control buttons) with a light in the button to blink when depressed and stops when released.

Grab Bars in Lift

Grab bars on both sides and at the rear of the lift car provide support for the aged.

Mirror in Lift Interior

Lift interior with mirrors allow a wheelchair user to see the lift location display without having to turn around.

Vision Panel

Lift door with vision panels enable persons with hearing impairment to signal for help or assistance in the event of an emergency.
